During 2021. five mentees from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia and Montenegro had chance to become part of partners institutions for two months, learn about project management and work on implementation of project activities. In 2022. there was two more young people who got this opportunity.

The first of them was Marija Basheska who was mentee in NYCM in North Macedonia during December 2021. and January 2022. She was working closely with the coordinators and assistants of different project that NYCM has, got familiar with different projects and through organizing several events and activities she gained knowledge about the project cycle and project management.

Marija said that this intership was very much worthwhile, especially because she didn’t know almost anything about what day-to-day financial work looks like. “I can proudly say that I have gained specific and practical skills which I can use in any future job position I work at. Even if I start my own business someday, the financial and administrative knowledge would really come in handy in my work”, explained Marija.

Blerta Nako was mentee in JA Albania during May and June. She was assisting the Education Manager and Project Coordinator on daily tasks and had direct involvement in preparing and implementing BY LEAP and JAA activities.

Blerina explained that this experience was very valuable for her. “The shadowing experience helped me to better appreciate a work culture with high standards, where employees were valued for the work they perform and their spirit of cooperation with the other team members. Junior Achievement helped me with project management, organizing of events and improve my administrative capacities”, said Blerina.
