Within the framework of the project “Balkans Youth: Linking Education, Abilities and Partnership Potential in Regional Employment Practice”, National Youth Council in North Macedonia is opening a call for civil society organizations that need capacity building in three areas: advocacy, fundraising and policy making.
Advocacy training – 29.03.2021, 30.03.2021 and 31.03.2021
The advocacy training program will provide an overview of successful and unsuccessful advocacy campaigns, types and methods of advocacy, definition of stakeholders, target groups and their mapping. In addition, tools for evidence-based advocacy will be covered as part of the training. During the training, practical examples will be used, and each of the participants will develop a plan for representing a topic that they will independently choose and determine.
Fundraising training – 29.03.2021, 30.03.2021 and 31.03.2021
The fund-raising training program will be focused on 4 main ways to raise funds: traditional donors, creation of own services and products, use of social responsibility and use of the crowdfunding model. The idea through this approach is to raise awareness among civil society organizations about the various funding opportunities and to encourage them to apply knowledge in practice and create their own models. As an additional key part, promotion and marketing will be covered as a necessary part of fundraising.
Policy making training – 24.03.2021, 25.03.2021 and 26.03.2021
The policy-making training program will focus on the need, importance and processes of public policy-making and the role of civil society organizations, through different methodological approaches. In addition, the program will offer analysis and mapping of stakeholders as well as types of strategies in policy-making processes. A key part will be the building of partnerships and strategic coalitions as well as the improvement of cooperation between citizens and decision-makers in the process of creating public policies. Each participant will have the opportunity to create an action plan, mobilization of resources as well as a plan for monitoring and evaluating it.
The trainings will be realised electronically, through the ZOOM platform. The working language of the trainings will be Macedonian. The trainings will last 4 hours a day.
The trainings are intended for civil society organizations working in any of the following fields:
